Ein nettes Buch über Familie, Liebe, Verrat und Freundschaft
Band 1 der Blackberry Island Serie Zwei 17 Jährige Freundinnen werden so verraten, dass sie sich auseinander lebten. MICHELLE flüchtet freiwillig zur Armee und CARLY heiratete ihren Verlobten und war Schwanger. Würde leider aber nicht glücklich. 10 Jahre später als die Mutter von Michelle starb, kam sie auf Blackberry Island zurück um ihr Hotel "The Inn" weiterzuführen. Mit entsetzen stellt sie fest, das Carly es die ganzen Jahre mit ihrer Mutter weiterführte und alles nicht mehr so war wie früher. Was sollte sie jetzt tun? Sie war so wütend über Carly. Rausschmeißen? Leider blieb ihr nichts anderes übrig als mit Carly das Hotel zu führen, denn die Banken saßen ihr im Nacken und es gab Vorschriften die ihr klar machten wie es weiter gehen soll und das nur mit Carly. Doch funktioniert auch die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Ihnen.?Sie waren doch so unterschiedlich? Jede hatte auch ihre Probleme und Wünsche. Wie sollte das gehen? Es ist eine wunderschöne Geschichte über Verrat und doch einer zurückliegenden Freundschaft mit viel Hass und doch das Gefühl gegenseitig zu Brauchen. Leider war das Buch an manchen Stellen so langlebigen und spannungslos geschrieben, daß man dachte in der Geschichte nicht wieder rein zu kommen. Das TypischeGefühl was Susan Mallery sonst in ihren Büchern 📚vermittelt, fehlte hier leider ganz. Zum Schluß lebte die Geschichte nochmal etwas auf,aber das hätte schon etwas früher sein müssen und dann hätte das Buch auch von mir mehr Sterne erhalten.
