Description
When Barbara "Barbi" Bancroft mysteriously receives an unreleased manuscript from her favorite book series, she can't curb her excitement. But when she gets sucked into the story-literally-she finds herself in the fantastical realm of Akkaya. Immediately, she thinks this is the adventure of a lifetime and she will finally meet her Prince Charming, and maybe have her first kiss. But things don't go her way, and soon she is running for her life. Her only hope to survive and get home is the heroic Sir Damien, her fictional crush.
Unfortunately, he is anything but heroic and he decides to sacrifice her for an evil ritual that will allow him to invade her world-and conquer it. Channeling her main character energy, Barbi tries to run away and outsmart Sir Damien. And that is how she ends up thrown in a dungeon, waiting for her death. With the villain of the story.
Forming an unlikely alliance with the most hated character wasn't in Barbi's bingo card, but she will do anything to save herself and her world. Things become further complicated when she accidentally gets mated to said villain, and now she's trapped forever.

Absolute Leseempfehlung!
Was für ein gutes Buch! Der Klappentext hatte mich extrem angesprochen und er hat nicht zu viel versprochen. Barbi ist extrem lustig und locker die ernste Mission so gut auf. Trotz ihrer humorvollen Art steht sie für sich selber ein und weiß den Dingen auch die Ernsthaftigkeit zuzugestehen. Ich mag von beiden Charakteren die Entwicklung. Der Schluss war echt heftig und lässt mich ungeduldig auf Band 2 warten. Die Autorin schafft es richtig gut, dass das Buch für mich zu keiner Zeit langweilig war und man Verständnis für jeden Protagonisten hatte, egal in welcher Situation.

Ich bin sprachlos. Positiv sprachlos. Ich dachte, ich krieg hier 'ne lockere Portion Fantasy, bisschen Liebe, bisschen Humor – halt die übliche Wohlfühlmischung. Stattdessen wurde ich gefühlt von einem LKW überfahren. Barbi ist so eine unglaublich gute Seele. Ihre Art, ihr Humor - man kann sie nur gern haben! Ich könnte ewig über sie schwärmen. Die Story ist so spannend und mit einer Leichtigkeit geschrieben, dass man nur so durch die Seiten fliegt! Dieses Buch hat mich umarmt, mir ein gutes Gefühl gegeben, mich mitfiebern lassen, mich träumen lassen.. und dann, ja dann... Dann kamen die letzten Seiten. Kennt ihr dieses Gefühl, wenn ihr merkt: „Uff, irgendwas kommt noch. Irgendwas ist im Busch...“ Und dann BAM – das war kein Busch, das war ein ganzer Wald - in Flammen! Und sobald du den Brand bemerkst, tritt dir noch jemand gegen dein Schienbein. Ja, das trifft es. Absolute Leseempfehlung. Aber nehmt Snacks mit. Und vielleicht Taschentücher.
