Noooo. Why?! I mean they're only 19 and haven't been together for more than a year. Okay, sure, they're from two different cultures than I am. Both Americans and Indians marry earlier on average. But at least Dimple must know the research that it takes up to 8 months to even get to the part where neurosis ends and love begins, where a relationship even starts to light up in the area of brain where family bonds and so on are lighting up as well. Before that what people call love is in the same brain area as mental illness. So after just four months of actually reaching a point beyond that they're already having this talk? Why?! Take time to get to know each other. First become best friends for life so you know you'll stick together even when there are no more butterflies. This feels so wrong and so off and so disappointing after 'When Dimple met Rishi'. And way too rushed. I know I know, they're not married yet. But even engagement is a binding contract (in my country). And if you're not stuck in a pandemic and want to be able to pull the plug on your partner - when they would want it to be pulled - there's no reason to rush engagement either.
