Maybe I am biased but I was surprised that a story like this was written by Veronica Roth. For me, she was a talented writer who wrote more for… Young teens about love in dystopia times. I mean that's not bad but I did not except such an intimate and tender story about the end of the world. That maybe shows me that I should stop being so biased all the time. Yes, it's true that this story does not really add something new to the end of the world canon. A comet on its way to the earth and people getting evacuated on its way to a new planet is nothing new. I read, watched and heard plenty stories about it. But I still love it. The story was tender and soft and filled with quietness. It reminded me a little of Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. It was slow and thus I was hoping for a longer story. For me this was a very solid start to the forward collection. I am already eager to read the other short stories - It's free on Prime Reading by the way!
