Den Schreibstill ist echt klasse. Leicht, locker, bildlich und gut verständlich. Man erfährt die Geschichte aus der Perspektive von Smith und Grace, was ich besonders toll fand, da man dadurch vieles besser versteht und nachvollziehen kann. Die Gefühlsebene wird dadurch auch nochmal viel besser und tiefgreifende deutlich. Die Geschichte an sich ist eher ruhiger und ohne große/viele Ereignisse,was größtenteils nicht weiter schlimm ist. Mir war es aber nach 3/4 des Buches doch ein wenig zu Ereignislos bzw. hätte endlich mal eine Gefahr her gemusst. Gerade dadurch das es viel um die beiden Hauptcharakter, ihre Beziehung zueinander, ihre Gefühle und Vergangenheit geht, erlebt man die Geschichte ganz anders. Man weiß/erahnt ziemlich schnell wer der Täter ist und warum, was ein bisschen schade ist, dadurch war die Spannung weg. Das Ende hat mich ehrlich gesagt auch enttäuscht, weil es für mich einfach ein zu künstliches Happy End war für die ganzen Zweifel und Argumente von Smith. Da hätte es doch noch ein wenig mehr gebraucht um glücklich zu machen bzw. die Liebe als Grund wirken zu lassen. Allen in allem ein gutes Buch für zwischendurch, dass einen sehr gut unterhält.
