True Crime Mystery Romantic Suspense with all the feels and all the action and clues. I loved almost everything about this: the complex characters, their development, the small town setting, meddling side characters, the chemistry between our main characters, their romance and the tension. I only wasn’t a fan of the last twist and reveal in the book because I was expecting a little bit more. I was shocked by the villain but wished there were more clues to figure it out earlier in the book. Still, the suspense was killing me and I haven’t loved a book like this in a long time!
„But there she was. Storming toward me like true chaos in human form.“ „She thought we needed to find the monster to get any real healing, but just her presence was healing me.“ „He understood the colors I painted my world with because he spoke the language of my pain.“ „It’s a bad idea. I rasped. We’d be playing with fire. Those ocean eyes sparkled. Then let’s watch it burn.“
