*3.5 stars I don't know what I want to be. I don't even know who I am right now, I guess, and everyone else seems to have it all figured out. I actually really enjoyed this! After the first two chapters, I was ready to dnf this book because I didn't really like Nick as a character. He seemed to be too much of everything and starting the book with a blowjob in a porta-potty seemed like a weird way to kick it off. However, I'm so glad that I continued reading this book (if only because it has been on my tbr for years). Nick continued to be awkward but which 18-year old ISN'T awkward? Adding to that, I absolutely adored Nick's friendship with Devon. It was so healthy and didn't show any signs of toxic masculinity or anything else. There was no awkward "no homo" moment when Devon, who's straight, (repeatedly!) tells Nick "I love you" or cuddles him. What I also appreciated was the fact that Nick didn't know what to do with his life. I'm happy for everyone who has their life figured out after graduating high school, but there are so many people thrown into adulthood without knowing what to do next. I didn't want to round it up to four stars because the age difference came across quite unbelievable. I cannot imagine a 25-year old falling for an 18-year old person. However, this book is a really fun and light read.
