Fesselnde Geschichte!
Nachdem ich mehrmals an dem Buch vorbeigelaufen bin und es jedes Mal in der Hand hatte, aber wieder weg gelegt hatte, weil es englisch war, hab ich’s irgendwann dann doch mitgenommen. Was soll ich sagen. Eine fesselnde Geschichte, die historische Anteile hat. Und ich hab es doch tatsächlich geschafft dieses Buch auf Englisch zu lesen. (Ich war zwar ne Schnecke, aber egal) Ich glaub ich hätte es noch ein bisschen mehr genießen können, wenn es auf Deutsch gewesen wäre.

A strong, feminist, dark history fiction. About power, obedience, religion, witches, poison, sins, womanhood, violence, love, freedom, friendship, sisterhood and revenge. Based on true events of Giulia Tofana in the 17 hundreds in Italy, and therefore even more heartbreaking. There were never witches. There were only women who didn't fit into the image of male society. "From the moment I was born, a shadow was cast over me. Outcast. Whore. Witch. Poisoner. I am also Daughter, Mother, Survivor, Healer, though those parts of my history will never be written"
