Zur Weihnachtszeit geschehen die schönsten Wunder! Weihnachten steht vor der Tür, und Laurel McCullough könnte wirklich ein paar gute Nachrichten vertragen. Ihr Mann Zach und sie wünschen sich von ganzem Herzen ein Baby, aber dieser Traum scheint unmöglich. Noch dazu mussten die beiden bei Laurels geliebter Großmutter Helen einziehen, denn die alte Dame braucht mehr und mehr Hilfe im Alltag und eigentlich eine Pflegekraft. Doch Wunder sind in dieser ganz besonderen Zeit kurz vor Weihnachten nie weit entfernt, denn dann klingelt Mrs. Miracle an der Tür. Und die ist Expertin darin, Familien beizustehen, die Hilfe brauchen. Helen blüht spürbar auf, denn Mrs. Miracle ist nichts weniger als ein Glücksfall. Und als das Fest der Liebe näher rückt, schöpfen auch Laurel und Zach langsam, aber sicher wieder Hoffnung … Mein Fazit: Diese kleine Geschichte ging mir emotional teilweise sehr nah.Der Schreibstil war flüssig und verständlich und es lies sich sehr gut lesen.Ich konnte mich so in Laurel hinein versetzen ,da ich dieses Gefühl und die Emotionen auch durchleben musste.
Was für eine Schmonzette. Natürlich habe ich schon andere Bücher der Autorin gelesen, und wusste, dass das einfaches Lesevergnügen sein wird. Aber so ein „dünnes“ Geschichtchen hätte ich dann doch nicht erwartet. Nun gut, für Ablenkung hat es gereicht und in Zukunft bin ich vorsichtiger, was ich da aus der Restekiste fische.
