This book was absolutely brilliant. When it came out I had no idea, what Ransom Riggs had planned for our beloved peculiars. So i was surprises how the story went and I am more than ready to read the next book!

I was very excited about this book. I had enjoyed the first three books so much! I had struggles getting hands on this book, but finally, I was able to get myself a copy and read it. I was underwhelmed with it. Maybe I hyped it too much in my head. Don't get me wrong here but I have my reasons. - The pictures in the book weren't as exciting, relatable, or even required in the story. At times it felt like it's being forced into it. They weren't as quirky as they were in the first three books. - Jake was annoying. - The Grandfather, Abe, was made to look like Dumbledore or so I felt. I was not particularly enjoying that angle. I would rather have enjoyed if the quest for the characters was something else than unraveling Abe's past. - Miss Peregrine was shown to be an annoying mother. But why? - Nothing exciting was happening until half of the book went by and then it picked up a bit The book provided with character developments but I particularly wasn't a big fan. After about three weeks of reading this ..I can't particularly recall a scene that I enjoyed per se. :| I will of course read the next book because .. it is still Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children)
