The scenes in this book don't follow each other in a smooth way that builds a story. They seem to change unconnected from one scene to the next. It is stopping me from wanting to read further because I don't get the sense of following a story. Things are just happening with no connection, even within the individual scenes, things don't flow in a story order. Things are just introduced and you don't know why they are being shown. It's like randomly putting together a jigsaw puzzle. That is not enjoyable in a book. And no, it's not suspense. Suspense is when the reader has clue about what is doing on but details are being withheld. With this, the story is being withheld.
