Irgendwie sehr heilsam ❤️‍🩹

Amber V. Nicole doesn’t do “light fantasy.” She does trauma, tension, and world-ending stakes, with just enough flirting to make you forget the apocalypse is happening.

Dianna is a scarred, centuries-old antihero who gave up mortality for family and got a whole lot more than she bargained for: an Ig’Morruthen body and binding to a monstrous lord (Kaden/Samkiel-adjacent). Liam / Samkiel (the tortured god-king type) is equal parts wrath and reluctant tenderness, and their forced alliance slides, very slowly, toward something messily heartfelt. Supporting cast and mythic politics thicken the plot: prophecies, relic hunts (a.k.a. The Book of Azrael), and betrayals that sting like acid. The finale ties vengeance and sacrifice together, Dianna’s choices reshape realms, love is paid for in blood, and the aftermath promises even darker stakes ahead.
