This was a sweet, a little gripping, funny AND HOT AF novella. Frat Wars is one of the series I loved (even tho it actually took me a reread to really fall for them, because I wasn't familiar with fraternities at all and thought the books just weren't for me). And this novella really completes them. I loved Archie and Dash in Frat Wars 3 as Charles' parents already, and to experience their journey even though I knew the outcome (but well, we kinda always know these books will have a HEA?) was great. The homophobic parent was of course something I'd rather not have to read - but it's the reality for so many people and therefore it's great that they get stories representing their circumstances and still show how happy one can get, I think that's really spreading hope. The college/frat/parties-vibe really was enhanced through all the 90's/00's innuendoes - like playing snake on your phone, texting being expensive or even going to a bulletin board to know what events are happening. Of course it wasn't as deep as other books, after all it's still a novella, but deeper talks were heavily hinted at and I loved that - it brought the point across that they did form a really deep connection without actually showing it and lengthen the story. Even tho I actually would have loved this as a full novel as well. It was a short but definitely super enjoyable read!
