The writing kinda threw me off 😵💫
Before I start, I want to say that I really liked this book and found the story very unique. I loved the burlesque theme, and even though I’m not usually a fan of fast-burn romances, I truly enjoyed Ez and Alek’s love story! They were so incredibly sweet and respectful to each other and the spice scenes were awesome as well 😌 It’s a short book, so you can technically read it very quickly. However, as a non-native English speaker, it took me quite some time because the writing was difficult—at least for me. As I mentioned before, the writing style really threw me off, and at some point I felt unmotivated to continue because it was hard to get through. Overall, the writing style just wasn’t for me and kind of made me lose interest toward the end 😬 Nevertheless, I did enjoy the story, so it wouldn’t be fair to give it a bad rating just because of the writing style. With that in mind, I think 3.5 ⭐️ is quite accurate for this book. If you’re looking for a short and sugary-sweet love story with two absolute green flags, definitely give this one a try! 💋
