This was okay. At first, I thought ‘what in the sturniolo triplets one direction fanfiction is this??’ It got better over time, but the start was… rough. Yes, Leonidas was hot. Yes, him being greek was hot. Yes, him being a singer and playing the guitar was hot. The guy is hot. But that’s it. Trinity kinda annoyed me. At times, she was a mix of a pick me and an arrogant brat. And all that random profanity and curse words, honestly, what was that? But she got better over the book as well. At the end, I actually kinda liked her. I feel sorry for the girl after everything she’s been through. The plot was good, it just could’ve been a little shorter. For me, the whole book was a bit too long. It’s as if the author wrote too much material for one book but not enough for a series (even though there are other books in that world). This book was okay, but I’m not sure if I would recommend it to anyone. If you like rockstars and secrets and grief, then you’re right here. It’s just not my personal favourite.
So, the plot twist? Actually pretty decent - I didn’t see it coming, which was refreshing. But honestly, this book could’ve been half as long and nothing of value would’ve been lost. It really dragged at times. Now, the big reveal: she finds out her boyfriend is a rockstar and feels betrayed?? Like, excuse me?? That’s not betrayal, that’s a win. And to top it off, he had a very valid reason for keeping it a secret. I was low-key annoyed at how dramatic she got about it. In the end, it was… fine. Not terrible, not amazing. But will I be reading the sequel? No.
