Description
Two years.
That’s all the peace we had before our past awoke from the dead.
Rose from the grave with malicious hands, famished, and ready to bury us six feet below. The tombstones of our enemies have been overturned, and we are reminded that we can never escape the chains of the corrupt.
Seeking retribution for my lost love consumed my past, but that violence and desire for punishment now jeopardized the future of those closest to me.
We are given one choice, a singular option.
Return to Ponderosa Springs. Or reap the consequences.
But it’s more than the infamous Hollow Boys in danger this time.
It’s her.
The cursed one.
A mirage of a woman too stubborn for her own good.
Coraline Whittaker and I share a common enemy. Her fear of him and his possession over her is the only reason she agrees to work with me.
We promise to protect one another. Share the weight of his return and the misery his presences brings; Till death do us part or the man plaguing her dreams is finally sent to the grave.
What she doesn’t know is there is more than a villain weaving us together.
It’s not just the revenge I want. It’s not the satisfaction of ruining the town that tainted us.
I want her.
Once again, I’ve taken a vow to protect someone, took her vengeance and made it my own.
Still waters have always run deep.
Ponderosa Springs isn’t the only one with secrets. I’ll let the world know mine before they take her away from me. That rotting town knows what I do to people who take things that belong to me.
A mistake repeated?
Not even God himself will deliver them from my evil.

Caroline & Silas !! 💐✨
Going into it, I was a bit nervous about whether it would hold up to the rest of the series, however I was pleasantly surprised. Silas’s character really stood out in this book. Getting to see his thoughts and experiences added a lot to the story, especially since he’s been more of a quiet presence in the earlier books. His perspective made the story feel fresh and gave good closure to his part in the group. 😭 Coraline’s character also stood out for me. Everything she had been through made her journey of growth and healing so impactful. 🥹 Watching Silas help and guide her through that process made my heart ache for both of them!! For me the plot was well done. It brought everything together in a way that felt natural. I appreciated that it kept me interested from start to finish, and it never felt like things were being rushed or dragged out. I’m happy with how the series ended, even though I feel a little sad it’s over. It’s always hard to say goodbye to characters you’ve spent so much time with, but this book gave them a good send-off. 😭If you’ve enjoyed the rest of the series, you’ll definitely like this one too.
I did it. I finished this series and the last book was definitely my favorite. The spice was some of the best of all the books and the characters and their relationship mostly made sense. Surprisingly, I am kinda sad to be leaving Ponderosa Springs, but I am also relieved I am done. I would probably recommend this series if you're ok with cringing at questionable writing, ignoring wording and sentences that don't make sense, being turned on by highly explicit and detailed sex scenes and simultaneously put off/grossed out. Otherwise this is too much work.
LOVED IT!!
It’s been a few months since I’ve finished this book and I miss Silas and Coraline every day. I knew Silas was gonna be my favourite out of all of them. I liked how he got his happy end with Coraline. He’s was such a gentleman but still so freaked out😩 I guess that’s why they say the quietest are usually the loudest because the way he’s in their intimacy, oh boy. Coraline is also my favourite out of all the girlies. She’s been through so much but still managed to steal my heart and shine like she deserved. Also when she didn’t want to have anything to do with Silas and was like a mad, hissy cat, I loved it! I love strong female protagonists. I loved their chemistry and their storyline sooo muchhhh!! If I had the chance to erase my memory to read this book again, I promise you I would.
i loved their story but i wish we could have gotten a little bit more? it was kinda fast paced and i really thought this was going to be the saddest book but it wasn’t… i was mentally prepared for it to destroy me bc of how silas was in the other four books but in his own we didn’t get much of it, or maybe it was just me
I am so sorry but this book was so hard to get through. I loved this series so much but I had my struggles with this one. I felt like I didn’t really understand the deep connection Silas and Coraline were supposed to have. It just felt a bit weird to me. Also that Silas suddenly got over Rosemary when he spend the first half of their series grieving her … Silas and Coraline you deserved more
