This sequel keeps the addictive momentum rolling with steady character progression, layered world expansion, and lots of action that made me keep turning pages. The pacing and over-focus on fight mechanics can drag a bit at times and character interactions aren’t always the strongest early on, but the plot developments and evolving abilities keep it engaging. Overall, another fun, immersive book that makes me want to dive into the next one.
