Zuckersüß mit Abzügen in der B Note
Das Buch war einfach zuckersüß mit zwei ganz lieben Protagonisten, die sich schon seit der Schulzeit kennen, es für ihn aber schon immer mehr war. Es war small town, farm brothers, friends to lovers, also definitiv nichts Weltbewegendes aber somit auch ein easy read. Man weiß von Anfang an wo beide stehen und wie es ausgehen wird. Abzüge gab es - weil Brody’s Körper definitiv zu viele Beschreibungen und Anhimmlung erhalten hat und es daher so wirkte als sei sie nur deshalb das erste mal seit 19 Jahren an ihm interessiert; - weil auch hier (wie in den meisten RomComs) der männliche Protagonist wieder sexy, klug und erfolgreich ist und seine Angehimmelte meist irgendwelche Probleme hat, die er mit seiner Weitsicht lösen muss und will; - weil das Ende für mich einfach mal wieder zu kitschig und unrealistisch war. Daher als Fazit wirklich nett, muss aber auch nicht ;)
