Eine nette Lektüre für zwischendurch. Das Pacing habe ich als eher unausgeglichen empfunden mit einigen Sprüngen, die es mir schwer gemacht haben, mich voll emotional zu investieren. Einige wichtige, sozialkritische Themen werden angeschnitten (Frauenrechte u.a.), weben sich aber nicht glatt in die Handlung ein, weil der Handlungsstrang um Epiphany eher isoliert wirkte und die beiden Handlungsstränge sich nur an wenigen Stellen gut ergänzt haben. Auch die Sprache wirkte bisweilen unpassend modern für das Setting. Die Romanze zwischen Hyacinth und Apollo ist trotzdem süß, aber insgesamt macht der Roman auf mich den Eindruck, als wolle er zuviel.
