Super süßes Short von Hannah Bonam-Young, passend für die Weihnachtszeit. Zugegeben, auf 160 Seiten kann man nicht viel Tiefe erwarten und trotzdem hat HBY es geschafft liebenswerte Charaktere nieder zu schreiben, die auch noch Geschichte haben. Ich hab mich sofort in Clara und Evan verliebt. Beide sind neurodivers. Ihre Probleme werden beschrieben und sind nachvollziehbar, ohne dabei übermäßigen Raum einzunehmen, denn im Vordergrund steht nun mal die Liebesgeschichte. Natürlich haben wir hier wieder spice und ein happy end, aber wir haben auch consent queens, denn was anderes ist nicht akzeptabel. Wer Hannah Bonam-Young noch nicht kennt, sollte mit diesem short anfangen, denn es hinterlässt einen Eindruck ihres Stils. Daumen hoch und Leseempfehlung und ganz viel Liebe für HBY ❤️

DNF at 30%. They decided to fake date and then were kissing and having sex like two chapters later. Where's the build up? The tension? The development? I didn't really like the characters and I didn't get the impression that they were such close friends. Didn't have any chemistry either. And honestly, I did not like the writing style. Didn't give Christmas vibes either. I read a few reviews and apparently this gets very spicy, which I'm not a fan of in general but especially if it's such a short book. No thank you.

LOVE this cute, fun childhood friends to lovers novella!! Normally a trope I don’t really enjoy as much as others, but this just worked. The spice was spicing, an added bonus! Super cute and the most adorable happily ever after
