    Sehr vielschichtig " Dès qu'il existe un secret entre deux coeurs qui s'aiment, dès que l'un d'eux a pu se résoudre à cacher à l'autre une seule idée, le charme est rompu, le bonheur est détruit." Der junge Adolphe verliebt sich in Ellénore, eine viel ältere Frau und noch dazu die Geliebte des Comte de P***. Trotz aller widrigen Umstände, kann er sich nichts Schöneres vorstellen, als mit Ellénore vereint zu sein. Doch als seine Wünsche sich erfüllen, bleibt die Freude aus. ******************************************************************************** Die Sprache des Werks fand ich sehr schön und raffiniert. Den Zugang zur Geschichte habe ich jedoch leider irgendwie nicht gefunden. Ich konnte mich weder mit Adolphe, noch mit Ellénore, noch mit irgendeiner anderen Figur wirklich anfreunden und blieb stellenweise genervt und verwirrt zurück. Vermutlich habe ich noch nicht alle Dimensionen des Werks vollkommen durchschaut und werde mich ihm später wieder widmen "müssen"...
