This novel is one of my favourite books ever! The family of protagonist Abby is a kind if crazy family where relationships aren't quite clear, partners of family members are not a taboo, children could have more than one father and marriages never last long. Abby on the other hand seems more "normal" with a plan worked out to not become like the Rest of the family. I really like how the novel focuses on Abby' s strife for "normalness" and a functioning relationship, her gay best friend's struggle with his sexuality and reactions by his surroundings while nothing ever happens how the characters planned it. It's a fun, light read while also tackling more serious problems.
