Solo Leveling, Vol. 8 (novel)

As a fan of the Solo Leveling series, I was eagerly anticipating the release of Vol. 8, and it did not disappoint. Chugong continues to deliver an engaging story filled with unexpected plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. One aspect that stands out in this volume is the excellent writing and artwork. Chugong's ability to convey the story through both words and illustrations is commendable. The action scenes are dynamic and immersive, making the reading experience even more enjoyable. In Vol. 8, all the ant monsters have been defeated, and the successful recapture of Jeju Island has elevated Jin-Woo's reputation. However, the story takes an exciting turn when a Dungeon-Break occurs in his sister's school while he is on a raid. The suspense and mystery surrounding this event added an extra layer of intrigue to the overall plot. Overall, Solo Leveling Vol. 8 maintains the high standards set by its predecessors. The combination of a compelling narrative, surprising twists, and impressive artwork make it a must-read for fans of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed this volume and eagerly look forward to continuing the journey. I give it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Die Bonusgeschichten sind ganz nett, nehmen aber vom letzten Band circa 80% ein und sind eigentlich nur Fan Service. Das eigentliche Ende ist nach 100 Seiten erreicht und hätte theoretisch auch noch in den siebten Band gepasst. Einige Momente zum Schmunzeln waren auch dabei, die ich mir für die Verbindung mit den Charakteren aber auch gerne schon früher gewünscht hätte. Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden und freue mich auf die Manhwa und Anime Umsetzung.
