Oh my god. Oh my god. This is not just a highlight, it‘s a life changing experience. the characters: SO GOOD. so deep. so well thought out. absolutely stunning. i cannot even find the words to describe how perfectly constructed both the male and female mc‘s were. it‘s not just perfect chemistry, but their differences and similarities that work so well here. oraya and raihan are so flawed and complexe that even in a crazy fantasy story, you can relate. the worldbuilding: I was extremely sceptical because this was a vampire novel, and let‘s be honest: been there, done that. BUT I WAS WRONG. this was different and magical and threw the existing concept of vampires in my head for a loooop. i liked the changes to existing vampire lore and the unique twists and turns. storytelling: there was not a single page where i was bored. it‘s a page turner for sure. the constant action and twists and turns evoked emotions in me that i haven‘t felt IN YEARS. i will rave about this for ages. i urge everyone to read this book. it‘s been my favorite this year.
