About the book
Visit Richter's installation in situ through this pocket-size colorful flip bookPrismatic, monolithic, impenetrable: Gerhard Richter's Strip-Tower (962) (2023) is a public art piece that combines the aesthetics of his Abstract and Strip paintings with the formal rigor of three-dimensional sculpture. The piece debuted at Serpentine in London's Kensington Gardens from April 2024 to February 2025, and is now on display in the mountains of Engadin, Switzerland, until 2029. To accompany the more traditional portrait-format paperback catalog, HENI publishes a 160-page flip book that allows for the 360-degree view of Strip-Tower that Richter intended. This edition maintains two texts from the small-format paperback, but through the act of flipping, this edition sets the sculpture into motion in the reader's hands.
