Genau das Weihnachtsbuch, das ich gebraucht habe 🎄✨
Ich lese jedes Jahr mindestens ein Weihnachtsbuch, um in Stimmung zu kommen – dieses Jahr etwas später, aber Holiday Romance war dafür genau richtig. Am Anfang hat es mich sofort abgeholt, ich war richtig gecatcht und fand es super süß. In der Mitte hat es für mich kurz ein bisschen an Tempo verloren, aber zum Ende hin hat mich die Geschichte wieder komplett bekommen. Die beiden Protagonisten sind einfach total süß zusammen, und gerade die letzten Kapitel haben mir richtig gut gefallen. Insgesamt ist das Buch super unterhaltsam, mit viel festlicher Stimmung, Familie, Nähe und diesem cozy Weihnachtsgefühl. Was mir besonders gefallen hat: Es wirkte nicht kitschig oder unrealistisch, sondern überraschend authentisch und nahbar. Kein perfektes Märchen, sondern eine Geschichte, die sich echt anfühlt – und genau deshalb so gut funktioniert. Für mich ein richtig schönes, stimmungsvolles Weihnachtsbuch 🫶🏻🎄🎅🏼

Holiday Romance ist ein Wohlfühlbuch für die Weihnachtszeit. Süß, cozy und genau richtig für ein paar entspannte Lesestunden mit Glühwein-Vibes. Die Tension zwischen den beiden stimmt auf jeden Fall und sorgt dafür, dass man gerne weiterliest. Die Storyline macht Spaß, ist witzig und locker erzählt, ohne zu viel Drama. Kein tiefgründiges Meisterwerk, aber ein charmanter, romantischer Read, der perfekt in die Winter- und Weihnachtszeit passt. 🎄✨

Ich habe das Buch wirklich unendlich geliebt! Es ist kurzweilig, spannend, lustig, etwas kitschig und Mega süß. Es gibt kein unnötiges third-act-breakup und man hat die ganze Zeit Lust, weiterzulesen. Der Schreibstil ist super flüssig und einfach zu verstehen. Ich werde mir definitiv alle weiteren Bücher der Autorin anschauen und kann es nur empfehlen!🥰✨
Nachdem ich im letzten Jahr den 2. Teil gelesen habe, war klar, dass ich dieses Jahr zu Weihnachten dieses Buch lesen muss. Es war ein gutes Buch für zwischendurch mit charmanten Charakteren. Ich mochte, dass es zwischen den vorherigen Flügen und dem aktuellen gewechselt hat und man so einen tieferen Einblick in die Freundschaft der beiden bekommen hat. Leider hat sich das Ganze für mich dann aber auch irgendwie ab der Hälfte gezogen. Vielleicht auch einfach, weil ich in einer Leseflaute war. Aber am Anfang geht alles so schnell und dann wird das Buch plötzlich total langsam. Das Third Act Break Up am Ende war irgendwie unnötig, wenn man bedenkt, dass der Konflikt ein Kapitel später dann auch wieder gelöst war. Insgesamt ein witziges Buch für die Weihnachtszeit, das ich definitiv empfehle, um in Weihnachtsstimmung zu kommen.

From adventure to cosy romance with the family. This book reminds me of kevin alone at home. We follow along as all christmas plans are smashed and a relationship unfolds on the following adventure to make it in time. Personalities clash between one who loves christmas and one who never celebrated it. Its a good book, but its also a typical trope and while i enjoyed it, i am not sure it will stick with me.
This was a really cute and feel-good Christmas book :D I‘ve read it for a book club and was not disappointed. It‘s been funny and heart-warming and I discovered a new author I could read more from. I liked the aspect that a part of the book was being at the airport or on the plane. How Molly felt disgusted after being on multiple flights in a row. I so unterstand that. Try to fly from Vienna to Auckland, the airplane felt like my new home after three flights of 24h (flight time only). And Andrew being more or less like a chill person to center her while she was so stressed. Speaking of them, both of them were so likable and I really enjoyed reading their story together. There has been a miscommunication part which got resolved really quickly (thank god those miscommunication parts don‘t take up half a book anymore), so it included some drama but overall it‘s been a fluffy and nice read. It‘s a plus that some part of the book is situated in Dublin and around Cork, since I‘ve been there at the end of October, so this is also fresh in my mind. How funny it‘s been when they just mentioned the River Liffy or Trinity College and I‘m like: „Yes, I‘v been there!! Ha’penny Bridge!! Trinity College with it‘s dark academia looking student dorms!!“ I‘m easy to entertain. All in all, it reminded me a bit of the book „The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight“ by Jennifer E. Smith which I‘ve read almost 10 years ago and recently got a refresher since the movie adaptation of it, „Love At First Sight“ came out on Netflix. So if you want some more Christmas/Flight fluff, this book might be the next read. It is a Young Adult book though :)
Wunderschöne Geschichte - Wunderschöne Charaktere
Durch die 2/3 des Buches bin ich nur so geflogen. Obwohl es das erste englischsprachige Buch war, das ich je wirklich gelesen habe. Es ist wunderschön geschrieben der Humor ist total unterhaltsam. Ich liebe die Charaktere und ihren Humor. Wie man auf so vielen Seiten so humorvolle unterhaltsame Unterhaltungen schreiben kann, bleibt mir ein Rätsel. Das letzte 3 fand ich nicht ganz so smooth. Für mich persönlich hätte es diese letzte (Achtung Spoiler) Streitigkeit nicht geben müssen. Aber ich kann’s auch irgendwo verstehen und es passt sehr zum Genre. Ist allerdings der Grund warum ich mich um die letzten Seiten zuerst ein bisschen gedrückt habe. Ich wollte Molly und andrew sich einfach nicht streiten lassen. Ich mag das es um Weihnachten spielt aber nicht explizit Weihnachten als einzigen Mittelpunkt hat. Dementsprechend auch gut außerhalb von Weihnachten lesbar. Die Geschichte ist absolut süß und die Idee mit den Flügen und der Freundschaft finde ich grandios. Ganz ehrlich. Ich wünschte es gäbe auch eine Verfilmung weil das wäre wirklich ein toller Weihnachtsfilm! Ein wirklich tolles Buch!
