Wtf hab ich da gelesen? Andy erhält eine Mail von einem College Kumpel (Michael), der inzwischen berühmt ist, und ihn darin fragt, ob sie sich mal treffen wollen. Bis 65% ging's nur um den Tag als Tochter Isabel krank war und um die Vergangenheit in dem Octagon (Freundeskreis). Beides stellte sich als absolut unwichtig heraus. Michael war letztlich traurig/unverständig, weil er nicht zu Hochzeit eingeladen wurde. #TotalHonesty Apropos: warum hat der Typ auf die Fragen, ob er das Buch gelesen und das Hörbuch gehört hat, nur Ausreden gebracht? Ein deutliches Nein (gepaart mit Ausreden) hätte selbstbewusster gewirkt, aber vielleicht war das gewollt. Jedenfalls war das Buch eine einzige Midlife-Crisis und die Erkenntnis, dass das Leben und die Wahrnehmung in den 20ern was anderes ist als in den 50ern. Lame. Selten so zähe 25 Seiten gelesen, aber immerhin noch was dazu gelernt (siehe Long Time No See Zitat). "As I get older, the less I try to pass judgement."
