About the book

5.0I can't find words to express what this book means to me. Never have I read anything like it, never have I connected more to a story, a character. And never have I read a book and felt so understood. I love how this topic was handled, delicate and yet loud enough. I adore the friendships in it. I adore everything about it. And it's so beautifully written, I want the whole world to read it. Because it's still necessary. Because our world and our society still isn't as it should be. I admit I'm an emotional wreck now, and I probably triggered myself too much with it, because I'm not as far in my journey to healing as I wish I'd be. But that's ok. I will be ok. To finish this with a quote, probably my favorite line of this book: "It’s changed me forever, but changed doesn’t have to mean broken."
