It felt extremely rushed, Celine and Bastien act extremely stupid. In the first books they are painted as eloquent, intelligent and able to plan and think things through at least sort of. Now Celine is trapped being mummy’s little baby which she has known for three weeks and Bastien is a stupid trying to be hero. The way the end feels extremely rushed- there was no time to feel anything that happened there. Where is most of la Cour de lions and all the other characters? It feels like the author didn’t care anymore and just wanted the series to be over with.
