About the book

In this family, everyone is keeping secrets--especially the dead. Brecken Hill in upstate New York is an expensive place to live. You have to be rich to have a house there. And they don't come much richer than Fred and Sheila Mercer. But even all their money can't protect them when a killer comes to call. The Mercers are brutally murdered the night after an Easter Dinner with their three adult kids. Who, of course, are devastated.

Or are they? They each stand to inherit millions. They were never a happy family, thanks to their capricious father and neglectful mother, but perhaps one of them is more disturbed than anyone knew. Did one of them snap after that dreadful evening? Or was it someone else that night who crept in with the worst of intentions? It must be. After all, if one of your siblings was a psychopath, you'd know.

Wouldn't you?

oh god, guys, please save your time. This wasn’t it. I almost fell asleep everything I wanted to finish it. There was no tension at all. Even the plot twists were none. Save money, save time, avoid this book as good as possible.

Weeeh although it took me unexpectedly longer to get through the book, it was a fantastic brain teaser. I mean the characters were well set up and I understand why the beginning took some time to get through because one needs the backstory. But it was just a good book. Stayed up all night to finish it. The 3 way murder tray with a crazy aunt is fantastical. I think the only thing that was left hanging and the reason for a 4.5⭐️, is what happened to rose cutter at the conclusion of the jenna murders. Also, the father was a toxic bastard and the children definitely scary. It stands to reason that Dan was least likely to commit the murders and he definitely needs psychological counselling with his wife. Oh damn, look at me trying to get into the story.
