The result is Mary: a young black woman living on the rough outskirts of Los Angeles in the 1970s, who has no idea how much power she will soon wield.

Mind of my Mind ist die Fortsetzung zu Wild Seed, erzählt jedoch eine unabhängige Geschichte. Ein paar Figuren aus dem ersten Teil tauchen auch hier wieder auf, doch die Hauptfigur ist Mary und es dreht sich viel um ihre Fähigkeit. Die Geschichte wirkt kleiner, geografisch und auch von der Zeit die vergeht her eingeschränkter. Doch man erfährt auch mehr darüber was ihre Kräfte für die Figuren bedeuten und der Kontrast zwischen Mary und Doro war sehr spannend.
