I heard Emily before I saw her. The harsh smack of heels against cheap wooden floorboards. The loud phone calls. The incessant music. I knew Emily before I met her. Discarded receipts in our communal hallway. Sticky leftovers in the shared food waste bin. Wine shop vouchers in the letterbox. Now she’s gone missing, and I’m the only one who can find her. The only one who can save her. Because I know her best, and I heard everything m

Okayyyy so I’ll give this book 3.5 stars. Im going to be honest, this book wasn’t terrible but I excepted so much more😭. I thought it would be a lot creepier. The first half of the book was pretty boring for me but in the second half it became more interesting. Over the time the behavior of Suzie and Emily was explained so I understood the characters a lot better than in the beginning. It was nice how Suzie wanted to give her all to solve the case because of what happened to her Husband Ben. At first, Darren was very suspicious to me but after Mike and Emily randomly met at that bar I was convinced he had to do smth with it. Detective Noah peters was also very sweet, I liked him !! I don’t rlly have much to say tbh but the writing style was also good ((:
