Fox and Archer are co-workers in a sports agency and since they both fill in a similar position, they have a bit of a rivalry going on, mainly about who gets which clients and therefore their paycheck. But soon, they have to team up for a client and this task does not only come with a lot of struggles, it also comes with forced proximity and the need to at least not off each other (while on work time).I enjoyed coming back to the Sadenverse and King Sports, it always feels like a big warm hug. The cameos of characters we already know and especially of my favourite fictional character ever (Asher 'Eat Shit and Die' Dalton) made me super happy. Those cameos also made for the most hilarious moments and banter, and I really suck that shit up :D The romance itself is sweet, fluffy, low-angst-ey - and also quite spicy at times, but it's not the strongest Eden Finley romance. While I did like the characters, I didn't really get a good grasp on them and I especially couldn't distinguish between them for most of the book, because they are quite similar. The book was still a really quick read and I had a great time reading it, but that was something that dimmed my experience a bit. Plotwise, I LOVED that it wasn't just a workplace romance, but that there were multiple plot points regarding their actual work as agents and problems they had to solve, and I really liked that aspect!I'm super excited about the upcoming books in this series, because I'd love to see Eden using the opportunity to dip into different, also not as known, sports. Jeremiah's NASCAR book was heavily hinted at, and as a fan of motorsports myself, I really hope we'll get to read that soon! Especially if it is the shipping I think it could be😏
