This is a cute story, a relaxing read for a Sunday afternoon where you don't need to worry much. It did start out nice enough - a fake relationship with a famous movie star? Who wouldn't want that. While Jake and Delilah are attracted to each other right away, it is still quite the slow burn. Tropes: fake dating, small town, billionaire romance. But unfortunately, it wasn't my thing in the end. The characters were a bit flat, their interactions didn't feel natural, and the writing style was a bit "try-too-hard". Parts could have been expanded on, while other things, such as the restaurant's menu, didn't need to take up so much space. I didn't understand how they felt so strongly for each other, it just didn't come across, and they had just met. I also didn't understand why the "plot twist" towards the end was such a big deal for all the characters. All in all, personally, I won't read the rest of the series, as there were too many little things (in the writing style) that weren't for me, but if you're looking for a light, quick read, this may be for you.
