There were sooo many things to love about this book. Why did I read it? Because in Court of Nightmares, the god of death fascinated me- so I had to get my hands on his stand-alone. The author also has an amazing talent when it comes to world-building and character growth.  The FMC (Avea) was a badass, who had no problem putting the god of death in his place. Throughout the story her secrets slowly become unlocked and the puzzle pieces start to move together.  The MMC (Mors), was intrigued by her but still demanded respect, in the hottest ways ever
