Bitte. Danke.
Ares the god of War ❤️🔥 is the MMC - what more do you want?!?
Jagger Cole never disappoints. It was a solid Mafia romance book with all the delicious tropes like "my wife", "you belong to me", "touch her and die" and more. The chemistry between Ares and Neve was delicious and spicy! I loved their banter. I was hoping for a more badass FMC, since she is also from the Mafia world. However, she makes up for it with her sharp tongue and wit. Overall solid mafia book with all the right kind of deliciousness ❤️🔥
Dnf at 35% It was painfully obvious that this was written by a man. The women's dialogue in the book, as well as their inner monologue, was SO clichéd and very (VERY) shallow that it was almost funny. Almost. The only emotions our female characters felt were instant attraction to men and jealousy of other women, which made absolutely no sense in the given context. And of course, she slept with him at the first opportunity, even though he literally threatened her (but of course it turned her on because why wouldn’t it), and after that she was the hot-headed girl again that couldn’t have a normal conversation. Do I even need to mention that the characters as a whole were just so damn shallow and it was very obvious that neither they nor the story had any depth? It’s like the author tried and failed to recycle what already exists. Some editors and, oh, maybe a few more observations about what women are really like would have helped.
i wish the relationship of neve and ares would have had a better development! i think it was a bit rushed
