This is it!Gideon decides to adopt his sister's unwanted newborn and his longterm boyfriend leaves him shortly after the baby's birth. Juggling a newborn and a job as a single parent soon gets too much and he lets himself be talked into hiring a nanny, who is not only the best with baby Benson, but Toby also knows how to make Gideon's life a bit better.It's kinda a classic single dad romance, but I haven't read one of those with a newborn baby (besides Fool Hearts, but the timeframe is different) yet - and this was the absolute cutest. Benson, aka chicky nugget (I swooned so much about this nickname) really enhanced the story. It's a quick read, because NR Walker's writing style is fluent as usual and I almost read it in one sitting.I love that there are important female side characters, that's just something I've come to appreciate in MM romance, and here are four of them!The drama is held very low, there is the ex boyfriend, but it's all suuuper low angst and a perfect book for inbetween. There's nothing too deep happening, just a lot of sweetness and it's all so wholesome🥹
