MMM Smut
So, this was just smut without a real story. Which can be fine and the smut itself was (which is why I still gave a few stars), but the dynamic was weird and constantly changed. At least it wasn't boring and I read it in one sitting/3h. Typical stepbrothers hate to... spice thing. This isn't a romance. Xaviers mom married Amos dad 10 years ago and since then they hated each other. It's more one-sided bullying from Xavier, which I didn't like, and in the beginning it seems more serious, but then the dynamic suddenly changes and it becomes more balanced once they start doing stuff. More than half of the book takes place at the diner Amos works at (it's all just one night). Xavier comes in with his friends, kinda drunk after a concert, and they are being assholes. When Amos has a break, Xavier follows him and things just happen. It was really weird because this was supposed to be the first time something like that happened between them, but it read as if they were used to doing it all the time. No real surprise or shock or even confusion. Xavier just asked him to meet him outside with a knife (yes, there is some light knife play and other kinks) 😅 What was also weird was the involvement of Amos' coworker Colin. First I thought it was just a voyeurism thing, but then he, more or less actively, participated. He was more like a toy to them (willingly), but I would categorize this as MMM/poly. Amos also kinda did more with him than with Xavier in the end. So, if you just want smut and don't mind a shifting dynamic and weird characters, it's fine to read, but don't expect anything more.
