I'm unsure what to make of this, so this will probably be a very chaotic "review". I overall liked it, but there were things that bothered me.First of all, things I didn't really like/weren't for me:- I guess this is one of the books queer men would consider bad sex representation, because there was anal without lube, cum as lube, and no prep- The MCs hate each other in the beginning and we have absolutely no clue why, this doesn't get explained and I felt like I missed some kind of prequel - and for an enemies to lovers set up and the whole base story with them being on their own for a reason, deeper feelings were involved far too quickly - The violence was kinda graphic and a bit disgusting in some parts, and also it felt like they're unrealistically invincible- killing for armed men at once before any of them shoots just sounded a bit too good to be true, but I mean it's fiction, so that might be a personal issue- While I like NR Walker's writing style and find it quite flowing (this one was also very flowy for a third person POV), I struggled with the POV and the rapid changes between the narrators randomly in the chapterBut the action was interesting and kept me reading, the ending of this story arc was done very well and I loved the overall ending.Overall, I liked the book, but it's my least favourite NR Walker book for now (which tbh isn't hard, I loved every other one).
