Started hating Tifapine.

Why is she even part of this whole storyline? What is her role? I feel like she is just there to add more unnecessary words, making the book longer than it needs to. Other than that, story is still great. It continues. And I have not been able to guess where things are going.

i don’t know how to feel about that one. Its an „amazing idea, that didn’t get written the way i needed it to be written“ kinda situation for me. The pacing was still off somehow and those 500 pages dragged on for a damn while. I feel like the entire story would have gotten better justice if it (including the to be punished third book) was shortened into two books. Whilst it’s super intriguing and investing in its idea, it all is too slow to keep me invested. I would absolutely devour and adore these books if it weren’t for that pacing. I got bored often, because parts just drag on too long whilst nothing is progressing. And other parts just happen too fast and get cut short that would have needed some more pages. Like the entire chaos that was the last 100 pages? I am not sure if I’m a fan of that plot twist. It feels kinda like a „lets just completely random change things up to create a new plot“ situation. Maybe cutting that new plot aspect and just giving the characters their deserved Happy End would have been better? Overall a good series with great entertaining characters and plot. It has banter, it has companionship and all the mystical and exciting aspects we love in a good fantasy book. But the length and pacing kills off all excitement I could feel. Don’t get me wrong, I had fun reading. Like I said, in theory it’s an amazing book that I would love. But the amount of pages I was able to read through in one sitting was way less than my normal attention span. If it weren’t for that damn weird cliffhanger, I probably wouldn’t continue with the series. But things got extremely weird and I need to know how the author plans on continuing on from there on. 3
