Non con humiliation punishment I can not get behind

It was such a good book. And than Lucifer punishes Ajax and Cami in a way I cannot get behind. The authors try to explain it away as a punishment for Ajax and only a test for cami but it’s a poorly written and poorly worded excuse for a non consenting humiliation punishment broadcasted live to the whole kingdom for a kidnapping victim (cami) who did nothing wrong and had no say in what was happening to her from the beginning. Reminded me also of the repeated (forced) explanations that her kidnapping is solely to be blamed on her father - but completely disregards the fact that Lucifer doesn’t care that there are unwilling, unprepared brides that are scared to death and have to be literally forced and kidnapped into hell and those trials and who do not consent one bit to what is happening to them. He could stop that but he doesn’t. He is to blame like her father. I had a really hard time reading the chapter with camis forced half nakedness in front of a live audience against her will while being filmed standing in a cage on a podium. And on top of that she is being forced to nearly climax in front of all of them because of the chain lingerie she is forced to wear. Absolutely disgusting choice of events and I can already tell that the weak explanations and excuses are going to be repeated again so she “understands” that it all had to happen for her wellbeing 🤢 Dub-Con is a really fine line away from Non-con and sadly these authors are not good enough to write in a way without crossing the boundaries or to understand the difference between when is it dubious and when is it SA. And yes, her being angry or her taking it with her head held high is not showcasing her strength or that the situation is in any way acceptable. It only shows that she realizes that she cannot act any differently (by showing another weakness through crying e.g.) without letting Lucifer and the Fae around her claim another victory over her. I will give the next book a try but this scene really disturbed me. The longer I think about it, the more I feel like it also didn’t suit Lucifers, Az’ or Meleks character. It was just written as a shocking moment and to dramatize the ongoing development of the romance between the fmc and the mmcs. As I said: poor writing choice.
