I don’t know what to say. Like shit like this doesn’t even phase me anymore but I’m def not saying that I enjoyed reading it.. there’s no dark romance element in this book at all although it’s labeled as such. this was 100% torture porn and I’m rly not into this. I don’t like reading about women getting raped all over again. And tbh I didn’t get her at all. Those feelings she had for him? I mean, yeah Stockholm syndrome etc. but the first scene (b.c - before capture) where he waited for her backstage and they almost fucked already irked me. wasn’t the book for me. def 1 star for the Victorian theme tho. nice era. Oh yea almost forgot, the ending is wild. Wild as in umm fucked up but didn’t rly surprise me but a bit scary to think of what he might do to her after that? Or even during??? (Don’t wanna spoil the ending). oof
