This book follows Luke, who works for his father, though his father doesn’t really trust him with much. When Luke accidentally intercepts a business email, he decides to take matters into his own hands and attends the meeting himself. Things take a dangerous turn when he ends up kidnapped by Roman, his father’s business partner. What starts as a power play quickly evolves into a complicated and intense connection between Luke and Roman. Just a Bit Ruthless was the second book I’ve read from this series. I really like that the books can be read as standalones, since not all of them appeal to me equally. This one, however, I truly enjoyed, even if it didn’t quite reach the level of "Just a Bit Wrecked", which was a solid 5/5 for me. Alessandra Hazard just has a special way of writing such raw, intense love between two characters, and that’s what makes her books so captivating. They’re emotional, addictive, and the kind of stories you can easily devour in one sitting.

Tenía muchas expectativas que al final se rompieron, me hicieron creer que me enamoraría de Román y que él y Luke serían mi pareja favorita de esta saga pero...me pareció muy neh. Necesita mucha más TENSIÓN al inicio, quizá un poco de pelea, pero la verdad es que Román se comporta como un cachorrito desde el día uno.
