This was beautiful, perfect, really. Funny and full of tension, a very diverting book. “The Bride Princess” is officially one of my favorite classics. William Goldman understand to keep his readers on their toes while making them smile constantly. Every now and then something cruel does happen, yes, and this cruelty wasn’t something I would have expected from this book, since it is funny to the point of being silly. But I liked even those parts. The ending was left pretty open, but I didn’t mind. Besides, I have the feeling that finishing a book with an open end is something few authors dare to do, so it’s quite impressive. Sometimes my enthusiasm was a little diminished by the author’s slide-ins, especially when hole sentences were interrupted. But as even those were quite funny, I didn’t mind that much. My conclusion: Very commendable!
