Damn, this book was way too short! I really wished we would’ve gotten more of Derek and Shawn as an actual couple, but not every wish can be fulfilled…It was still a pretty good book though! 🙂‍↕️ I honestly didn’t like the start of the story and their relationship but throughout the book it got better and better, which I was really glad about. I really liked the way Derek showed how much he liked and cared about Shawn through actions instead of words. The ending was pretty sudden and a bit rushed, which was really sad, because that’s when it started to get really interesting… 😟 However, I did really like Shawn’s neediness and how clingy he was when it came to Derek (or kissing Derek to be precise) - also all the moments between them and Shawn’s little sisters were the absolute cutest 🥹 Definitely needed more cute moments between them, but it was still a pretty decent book and of course how could I ever dislike a book with the good old professor x student trope 🤭

Shawn is raising his little sisters after their parents' death, studying (badly), and working two jobs to keep them going. Failing one of his subjects with everyone's idea of Satan's best friend, Prof. Rutledge, his friend tells him that the Prof likes pretty boys. Apart from yet another sub-dom tupe of relationship that obviously isn't for me, I don't like children beings used and cast aside in a story. Seriously, don't go chasing an orgasm in the woods, leaving two 4 year olds in the car!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️
