🌺✨ **Book Review: The Maiden & The Unseen: A Hades & Persephone Retelling** ✨🌺 If you’re a fan of Hades and Persephone retellings, then *The Maiden & The Unseen* is a must-read that will sweep you off your feet! Set in a contemporary world where gods mingle with mortals, this story brings fresh twists to the beloved myth. The dynamic between Hades, the brooding King of the Underworld, and Persephone, the vibrant Goddess of Spring, is electric. Their chemistry is palpable from the start, filled with playful banter and steamy moments that will leave you blushing. The authors, Jeanette Rose and Alexis Rune, masterfully blend humor and heat, making this tale feel like a modern rom-com with a sprinkle of divine drama. One of the standout aspects of this retelling is Hades’ respectful approach to Persephone’s boundaries, showcasing a relationship rooted in mutual understanding and desire. Their journey through the ups and downs of romance feels authentic, and the moments of tension only add to the allure. The supporting characters are also a delight, with unexpected pairings and a healthy dose of mischief that keeps the plot engaging. Minthe’s cunning nature and the unique take on other deities add layers to the narrative, making it even more enjoyable. While the cliffhanger at the end leaves you craving more (and I mean, who doesn’t love a little suspense?), it also perfectly sets the stage for the subsequent books in the series. I finished this one and immediately dove into the next—no regrets here! In summary, if you’re in the mood for a spicy, romantic adventure with a modern twist on classic mythology, *The Maiden & The Unseen* will not disappoint. Get ready for a wild ride filled with passion, laughter, and a captivating love story that will linger in your heart long after you turn the last page. 🌟💖 #TheMaidenAndTheUnseen #HadesAndPersephone #Bookstagram #SpicyReads #MythologyRetelling #RomanceReaders #BookRecommendations this story was fantastic. Hades and persephone had their own thouch which i really liked. And "My Spring" and "Demon" ar the best couple names!! I loved how the got through there ups and downs. and how they after like half the book finnalh get "togheter". One of the best part is the fact that hades tries to respect her boarders and really kept trought with it. The Chliffhanger was a bit mean; in a good way. I finished Book one and bought book 2,3, and 4😂 can't wait to read more of their story!

2.75 I enjoyed the spice, and Hades and Persephone had chemistry, but some things were questionable. I don’t understand how Persephone had to push him over and over to tell her something he physically couldn’t, and she did not get it. Even if the thing wasn’t such a complex reason, hun saying that he does not want to come inside her should be enough for her to let it go. The „cheating“ made me feel uncomfortable because even though Persephone was of the opinion that she and another guy weren’t in a relationship and didn’t put labels on it, he definitely looked at it differently and she should’ve simply ended things the moment she got intimate with Hades. The final ending felt kind of rushed and that he did what he swore not to do without thinking of consequences made me feel so angry. I did enjoy a lot of scenes (though some were simply not for me) and for it to be a modern greek mythology retelling, it was good.
