Without great protagonists, it‘s quite hard to dive into a story fully. One thing I liked about this book was the characters. The author did a great job here. Callie and Hayden are definitely not perfect, and that’s what makes them sympathetic and human. They managed to grow, both individually and as a couple. The reading experience was mostly enjoyable. And I only say that because there’s one thing that put me off. Hayden was this shy, sweet boy and became a cocky player, full of anger towards Callie. Without wanting to give too much away, I was missing something here. I think fans of enemies to lovers romances will surely love this read, and I’m looking forward to the second book of the series.
