This is the story of Kaspar and Alice, it takes place place at the same time as Adiron's story. Kaspar is a thrill-seeking kind of alien, he loves being a pirate, going on adventures. Alice, on the other hand, has just spent three years on a stranded ship, having to fight for her life at times, she has had anough adventures as it is. This is so story of how those opposites attract so perfectly. This was a very cabin-fever vibe story, with both protagonists being stuck on an escape pod, without the possibility of escaping (ahah). I didn't hate it, I'm giving the book three stars, but I had a really hard time getting into the story, not going to lie. Which is really sad cause, it's my first encounter with a Ruby Dixon book where I'm skimmig and not excited to pick it up again. I think the characters, while really nice, were a little boring, I don't know if maybe I'm having a hard time with the serial to book format? Anyways, this was kind of a miss for me compared to how much I love Ruby's books usually.
