Another wonderfully witchy story set in the world of, but taking place before, "Rewitched". Annie wants, no needs, to be perfect and that includes saying yes to basically everything, which leads to her agreeing to mentor the troubled teenage witch Maeve. Though she is supposed to be teaching Maeve about her magic, Annie learns a few life lessons as well. They are staying at Hal's place, an at first grumpy, animal loving warlock, where all three of them get to know and love each other in their own way. For the sake of her found family Annie let's go of her perfectionism, leading her to discover who really cares for her. When a connection from her and Maeve's past comes to light, the three of them have to fight to keep what they found. I'd say this book is worth a (re-)read for anyone looking for a cozy, witchy found family.
