Yet another historical fiction novel about a county and a history that I know only very little about. This time it's about the Dominican Republic during the Trujillo dictatorship. In the book we follow the lives of four sisters that are killed by the regime (it's not spoiler, but a premises of the book) in the end. I liked to have the story being told by all sisters and each one of them provided a different perspective through the prism of their own personality and life choices. It sometimes felt a little frivolous and a little fluffy for my taste, but for the most I enjoyed listening to it.
